Excav Services uses a professional-grade Bowie Hydromulcher.
We spray the thick green mulch/seed mixture you see used by municipalities and the Department of Transportation on highways.
This mix is proven to be the more effective means of delivery as the seed is glued to mulch and applied at 1500 lbs per acre. The mulch degrades, providing food for the seed mixture.
Our machine is a true hydro-mulcher. Note there are companies who use a “jet” based seeder. These are merely spray applicators for grass seed. They cannot apply mulch mixtures at the appropriate rate and therefore are doing little more than a homeowner can do with a broadcast seeder.
We apply true sod-farm quality seed mixes (depending on your application) as well as wildflower mixes.
